Estimated time: 45m
Tools needed:
Screwdriver, Wire strippers, Multimeter
Supplies needed:
Mounting screws, Terminal connectors, Conduit plugs
- Mount the controller
Remove the cover by unscrewing the two screws. Position the rear of the housing against the mounting surface and mark the drill positions using the mounting holes as a template. Drill the holes and secure the unit using #10 x 1" wood screws for wooden surfaces or #10 screws with lockwashers and nuts for metal surfaces.
- Make electrical connections
Route the power wires through the 1/2" threaded openings into the unit. For 120VAC operation, connect the line (hot) wire to the terminal marked 'L' and the neutral wire to the terminal marked 'N'. Ensure the earth ground wire is connected to the green screw if required by local codes.
- Install tone and connector cards
Plug the desired tone card into the socket provided. Ensure the rubber cover gasket is seated properly and reinstall the housing cover. Tighten the screws to secure the cover to the housing.
- Test the system
After installation, energize the unit and test the system to ensure proper operation. Adjust the internal volume control if necessary to achieve the desired loudness.
