- Install the Software
Insert the installation CD into your computer's CD/DVD drive. If Autorun is disabled, double-click setup.exe on the CD. Follow the prompts to install Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 SP1 if required, then proceed with the SelecTone Field Programmer software installation.
- Connect the Hardware
Connect the RS-232 serial cable between your computer's serial port and the SelecTone Field Programmer. If your computer lacks a serial port, use a USB-to-serial adapter. Connect the power adapter to a 120 Vac power source and to the power connector on the programmer.
- Insert and Secure the Message Chip
Insert a blank RMB9999 message chip into the SelecTone Field Programmer with the notch facing left. Ensure the chip is fully seated, then flip the lever down to secure it in place.
