- Unpack and Inspect the Unit
Carefully unpack the SelecTone Model 300 and inspect it for any damage that may have occurred during transit. If damaged, file a claim with the carrier.
- Mount the Controller
Loosen the two screws securing the cover to the housing and gently remove the cover. Position the rear of the housing against the mounting surface, mark the mounting hole locations, and secure the unit using #10 x 1-inch screws for wood or #10 bolts with lockwashers and nuts for metal surfaces.
- Connect Power Wires
Ensure power is off. Use 12 to 18 AWG wire to connect the positive lead to the (+) terminal and the negative lead to the (-) terminal of the four-position connector at TB1. Strip no more than 0.25 inches of insulation from the wire ends before inserting them into the connector.
- Install Tone Module
Insert the plug-in tone module into the designated slot in the controller. Ensure it is securely seated.
- Replace the Cover
Reattach the cover to the housing using the screws removed in step 2. Ensure all screws are tightened securely.
- Position the Speaker
Loosen the collar nut securing the speaker to the housing. Rotate the speaker to the desired position, ensuring it does not exceed 180 degrees of rotation, and then tighten the collar nut.
- Test the Installation
After ensuring all connections are secure and the unit is properly mounted, turn on the power and activate the unit using the user-supplied switch. Verify that the sound output is functioning as expected.
