Overview

The CompleTech CA860C2 is an offset pattern collinear antenna engineered for reliable wireless communication within the 830-890 MHz frequency band. This antenna features an 8 dBi gain and vertical polarization, ensuring robust signal reception and transmission critical for industrial, telecom, and public safety networks. Its construction includes a UV-resistant ABS/FG radome with PU foam filling, providing excellent environmental protection and an IP67 rating. The radiator is made of copper for optimal conductivity, and the antenna is designed with a DC-short circuited feed point for lightning protection. The VSWR is rated at less than 1.5, minimizing signal reflection and maximizing efficiency. Connectivity is established via an N-female connector. Mounting is flexible, accommodating poles with a diameter of 35-60 mm using an aluminum alloy bracket with stainless steel V-bolts and self-locking nuts. The antenna is rated for a temperature range of -40ºC to +80ºC and has a wind load capacity of 50 N. Key features include an integrated impedance compensation and RF choke. The H -3 dB beamwidth is 181º, and the E -3 dB beamwidth is 27º, with a Front-to-Back ratio of 5-10 dB depending on mounting. This antenna is suitable for applications requiring stable, directional communication in challenging environments.
