The CompleTech CA830X is a cross-polarized Yagi antenna engineered for high-reliability communication in the 791-862 MHz frequency range. This dual-feed design features physically quarter-wavelength phased elements, delivering a consistent 6/6 dBi gain with horizontal and vertical beamwidths of 140° and 103° (H-plane) and 89° and 97° (E-plane) respectively. The antenna supports both circular and slanted polarization modes, with 30 dB isolation between ports, making it ideal for applications requiring flexible polarization alignment. Constructed with a copper radiator and UV-resistant ABS/FG radome filled with closed-cell PU foam, the CA830X ensures long-term durability in outdoor environments. The IP67-rated enclosure protects internal components from moisture, dust, and extreme temperatures (-40°C to +80°C), while the DC-shorted feed point provides inherent lightning protection. The antenna’s low wind load of 41 N and lightweight design simplify installation on poles with diameters between 35-60 mm using the included aluminium alloy bracket and stainless steel hardware. Featuring dual N-/7/16-female connectors and an integrated RF choke with impedance compensation, the CA830X delivers a VSWR of less than 1.5 for optimal signal integrity. The front-to-back ratio of 12/11 dB minimizes interference, and the radome-enclosed design ensures consistent performance in harsh weather conditions. Compatible with CS-power splitters for circular mode operation, this antenna is a cost-effective solution for telecommunications, broadcasting, and industrial applications where signal reliability and mechanical robustness are critical.
