OHDI-01-KIT
The 115/230V Digital Input Interface module offers six (6) 115V or three (3) 230V rated circuits mounted on a common board used to drive DI1 through DI6 of the ACS550 or ACS800. The 115/230V and interconnection wiring must be provided by the user.
OPMP-01
Control Panel Mounting Platform allows remote mounting of the keypad on a large enclosure or remote panel. The kit maintains UL Type 12 integrity of the mounting location. Adapters, 3 m (10ft) cable and mounting hardware are included in this kit. With this mounting arrangement, the keypad is removable from the panel in a fashion identical to a drive-mounted keypad.Frequently Asked Questions
What is the purpose of a braking resistor with variable frequency drives?
Braking resistors are used with variable frequency drives for applications requiring faster deceleration or when motor speeds exceed synchronous speed. They dissipate regenerated power to prevent bus voltage from exceeding drive limits.
What are the voltage and duty cycle for ACS150/355-01U drives with Type CR resistors?
ACS150/355-01U drives are for single-phase 200-240V applications with stopping duty, available in various duty cycles like 3sec on/27sec off or 10sec on/50sec off.
What are the voltage and duty cycle for ACS150/355-03U drives with Type CR resistors?
ACS150/355-03U drives are for three-phase 200-240V and 380-480V applications with stopping duty, available in various duty cycles.
What are the voltage and duty cycle for ACS250 drives with Type CR resistors?
ACS250 drives are for single-phase 100-120V and 200-240V applications, and three-phase 200-240V and 380-480V applications, all with stopping duty.
What are the voltage and duty cycle for ACS550 drives with Type CR resistors?
ACS550 drives are for three-phase 200-240V and 380-480V applications with stopping duty, available in various duty cycles.
What is the role of a braking chopper (module)?
Braking modules monitor the DC bus of a drive and activate an external braking resistor as needed to manage regenerated power and avoid over-voltage trips.
How are Powerohm Type CR resistors constructed?
Type CR resistors use a nickel-chromium wire helically wound inside a ceramic fixture, housed in a corrosion-resistant aluminum case. Coil ends are terminated to high-temperature wire leads and encapsulated.
What is the function of the thermal switch in Type GCE and ED enclosures?
A normally closed thermal switch is provided in Type GCE and ED enclosures to detect resistor temperature overloads.
What is the purpose of the metallic case in Type CR resistors?
The metallic case is thermally bound to the resistor element, allowing heat to transfer efficiently for cooling.
What type of wire should be used for installation in Type GCE enclosures?
During installation in Type GCE enclosures, standard 90ºC rated wire is routed into the compartment and connected to the factory-wired terminal block.
