Overview
The ABB FMK-A-R3 Flange Mounting Kit, identified by SKU FMK-A-R3, is specifically engineered for ABB's ACS550 low-voltage drives. This mounting kit facilitates the external mounting of the drive's heatsink, allowing it to be positioned outside of a third-party enclosure. This configuration is compatible with third-party enclosures that meet UL Type 1 and UL Type 12 (NEMA 1 and NEMA 12) standards. The use of the R3 flange kit necessitates the removal of the drive cover. Consequently, this action reduces the drive's ingress protection rating to IP00. The ACS550 drives, when utilized with the R1 through R4 flange kits, including the FMK-A-R3, can be integrated into third-party UL Type 1 & 12 (NEMA 1 & 12) enclosures.
