Overview
Enhance your industrial automation with the ABB FEIP-21 Dual-Port Ethernet Adapter Module (SKU: FEIP-21-KIT). This F-series module facilitates seamless drive connectivity to Ethernet networks, utilizing twisted pair cabling for reliable communication. It supports EtherNet/IP protocols and operates at both 10 Mbit/s and 100 Mbit/s data transfer rates, automatically detecting the network's speed for effortless integration. The FEIP-21 features an embedded switch, enabling Device Level Ring (DLR) topology without the need for an additional external switch. This significantly reduces installation time and costs while improving network resilience. Designed for compatibility with ABB's common architecture drives, this adapter module supports ODVA AC/DC drive profiles and ABB drive profiles, ensuring broad applicability in various industrial settings. Its dual-port design allows for flexible network configurations, including star or daisy chain topologies, making it a versatile solution for modern manufacturing and process control systems. The FEIP-21-KIT is manufactured by ABB - Low Voltage Drives in Denmark (DK).

FENA-21
The FENA 21 DualPort module supports Three protocols Modbus-TCP, EtherNet/IP, and the PROFInet IO RT network. The Modbus-TCP protocol is simply the Modbus protocol used on top of Ethernet-TCP/IP. Modbus-TCP is an open Industrial Ethernet network which has been specified by the Modbus-IDA User Organization. EtherNet/IP is based on the Common Industrial Protocol (CIP), which is also the framework for both the ControlNet and DeviceNet network protocols. PROFInet IO RT is an open network based on the PI Organization standard.
