This guide provides instructions for safely re-connecting multiple hot legs and the neutral pin to a service entrance disconnect system, including the proper use of insulating rockets.

Neutral pin, Hot leg pins, Flood Seal® insulating rockets, Contact block
- Observe Safety Precautions
Before beginning, ensure you follow standard safety practices for energized circuits. Wear insulating gloves rated to the appropriate voltage when working on live conductors. Confirm the contact block is not under load before making connections to the service to avoid danger of electric shock.
- Connect the Neutral Pin
Insert the neutral pin into the center row of the contact block. This row is identified with a white marker. The neutral body is oversized and cannot be incorrectly inserted into a hot leg tower.
- Connect Hot Leg Pins and Apply Insulation
Insert one of the hot leg pins into one of the outer contact block towers. Immediately slide the Flood Seal® insulating rocket over the connected tower. Do not use silicone grease with the insulating rockets.
- Complete Remaining Hot Leg Connections
Repeat the process of inserting hot leg pins into the remaining outer contact block towers and sliding Flood Seal® insulating rockets over them for all other services requiring re-connection.
