Overview

The ABB LT475M is a 3/4-inch 45-degree steel liquidtight bullet connector designed for secure cable termination in industrial and commercial LFMC systems. This connector features a threaded steel body with a nylon insert to prevent over-tightening and cable damage, ensuring reliable performance in demanding environments. The 45-degree angle design optimizes cable routing in tight spaces while maintaining a tight seal against moisture, dust, and mechanical stress. The connector includes a captivated sealing O-ring with predetermined compression for a reliable enclosure seal, and its ferrule accommodates variations in conduit inside diameter for field-tolerant installation. The rugged thermoplastic body and gland construction resist exposure to detergents, cleaners, cutting fluids, and marine environments, meeting industry standards for cold impact. The elongated gland nut provides additional strain relief for 90° pull applications and easy hand grip. Compatible with standard 3/4-inch LFMC, the LT475M is ideal for manufacturing plants, data centers, and outdoor enclosures where environmental protection is critical. The connector’s steel construction ensures long-term reliability under vibration and temperature fluctuations.

How to Install Type B NM Liquid-Tight Conduit and XTRA FLEX® Flexible Tubing

This guide provides step-by-step instructions for the proper assembly and installation of Type B NM Liquid-Tight Conduit and XTRA FLEX® Flexible Tubing, ensuring a secure and liquid-tight connection.

Estimated time: 10m

Tools needed:

Conduit Cutter, Wrench or Pliers

Supplies needed:

Type B NM Liquid-Tight Conduit or XTRA FLEX® Flexible Tubing, Fitting with Gland-Nut, 5262 Series Sealing Ring (for wet locations)

  1. Prepare the Conduit

Cut the conduit clean and square. Ensure the cut is even to facilitate a proper seal and secure connection within the fitting.

  2. Insert Conduit into Gland-Nut

Insert the prepared conduit through the gland-nut opening of the fitting. Push the conduit firmly to the bottom of the fitting with a slight twisting motion to ensure it is fully seated.

  3. Secure the Gland-Nut

Tighten the gland-nut completely until it bottoms out. Ensure a firm connection to secure the conduit in place and maintain the liquid-tight integrity of the assembly.

  4. Apply Sealing Ring (for wet locations)

If installing in wet locations or for knock-out applications, use the appropriate 5262 Series Sealing Ring. Place the sealing ring between the box and the fitting to ensure a watertight seal.
