How to Install the LT100P Liquidtight Flexible Non-Metallic Conduit Connector

This guide outlines the installation process for the LT100P series non-metallic connectors, designed to provide a liquidtight seal when terminating liquidtight non-metallic conduit or tubing to an electrical box or enclosure.

Estimated time: 15m

Tools needed:

Wrench

Supplies needed:

LT100P Liquidtight Flexible Non-Metallic Conduit Connector, Liquidtight non-metallic conduit (U.L. Type B) or tubing, Electrical box or enclosure

  1. Prepare the Enclosure Opening

Select the correct knockout opening or threaded hub on your electrical box or enclosure that matches the connector's thread size (1-inch NPT for LT100P). Ensure the opening is clean and free of burrs.

  2. Install the Connector Body into the Enclosure

Insert the threaded portion of the LT100P connector through the prepared opening in the electrical box or enclosure. Ensure the captivated sealing 'O' ring (2) is positioned between the connector body and the exterior wall of the enclosure for a reliable seal.

  3. Secure the Connector to the Enclosure

From inside the enclosure, place the supplied steel locknut (9) onto the threaded portion of the connector. Hand-tighten the locknut, then use a wrench to firmly tighten it against the enclosure wall, ensuring the connector is securely fastened and the 'O' ring creates a watertight seal.

  4. Connect the Liquidtight Conduit

Insert the end of the liquidtight non-metallic conduit (U.L. Type B) or tubing into the connector's gland nut (8). Push the conduit firmly until it seats properly against the internal ferrule (4). Hand-tighten the gland nut until it bottoms on the connector body shoulder, providing a positive installation, liquidtight seal, and strain relief. The connector is designed to assemble without disassembly.
