This guide provides step-by-step instructions for installing the LD3C fluorescent luminaire disconnect safely and effectively.

Supplies needed:
Wiring connectors, Access covers
- Disconnect power
Ensure the power to the luminaire is completely disconnected to prevent electrical shock during installation.
- Remove access covers
Take off any lamps and access covers on the luminaire to gain access to the ballast and supply wires.
- Connect the male side
Using appropriate rated wiring connectors, attach the line (black leads) and neutral (white leads) of the male side of the disconnect to the corresponding ballast leads. Ensure the male side is marked 'load'.
- Connect the female side
Using appropriate rated wiring connectors, attach the line (black leads) and neutral (white leads) of the female side of the disconnect to the incoming supply leads. The female side is marked 'line'.
- Mate the disconnect halves
Before mating, ensure a positive latch by pressing the latching member on the female side down and releasing it. Then, mate the male and female halves together until you hear an audible click.
- Reinstall access covers
Replace any access covers and lamps that were removed during the installation process.
- Energize the circuit
Turn the power back on and confirm that the luminaire is functioning properly.
