- Inspect Package Contents and Components
Check the contents of the package to ensure they are complete and undamaged. Verify all components for proper fit with the cable and/or mating products. Inspect parts for damage, rating, and compatibility with mating parts. All apparatus must be de-energized during installation or removal of part(s).
- Lubricate the Interface
Lubricate the interface with the supplied lubricant or an ELASTIMOLD approved lubricant. DO NOT SUBSTITUTE, as other lubricants may be harmful to this product or its mating parts. Ensure all apparatus is de-energized before proceeding with any part of the installation.
- Attach and Secure the Stand-Off Plug
Attach a hotstick to the eyebolt of the stand-off plug carriage assembly. Slide the carriage assembly into the parking stand. Rotate the eyebolt clockwise until the carriage assembly is snug against the apparatus surface. Remove the hotstick from the eyebolt. All deadbreak connectors must be de-energized before operating and mechanically secured with bails when connected if they are 200A deadbreak connectors.
