- Prepare Bailing Assembly and Lubricate Plug Ends
Prior to making connections, refer to the appropriate ELASTIMOLD bailing assembly instructions and prepare the bailing assembly. Remove the protective caps from the K150T plug ends and lubricate them thoroughly with the supplied silicone grease. Do not substitute the lubricant. Keep plug ends clean until final connections are made.
- Train Cables and Connect Mating Parts
Before installing mating parts onto the K150T, properly train the cables of these parts to prevent strain on the cable entrances. Ensure cable entrances remain at a 90-degree angle from the K150T's center line. Insert the nylon venting rod into the receptacle portion of the desired mating connector, then push the connector onto the K150T tee body junction as far as possible. Remove the nylon rod to complete the connection. Repeat this procedure for the other end of the tee body junction.
- Verify Connection and Secure with Bailing Assembly
Achieve proper installation when the gap between the skirts of the mating part and the K150T tee body junction is 3/32” (2.4mm) or less. Once the gap is verified, mechanically secure the assembled connectors using the appropriate ELASTIMOLD bailing assembly (e.g., 15TB3 for elbow connectors, 15TB4 for straight receptacles) to prevent separation due to cable movement. Follow the bailing assembly's specific installation instructions.
