Constructed from durable aluminum for the box and die-cast aluminum for the cover, this GUAT type box features a 2-inch (53 metric) pipe size and a 5.00-inch (127.00 mm) cover opening, providing ample space for wiring and connections. The integral PVC double-coating enhances its resistance to corrosion and harsh chemicals, making it suitable for demanding industrial environments such as chemical plants, oil and gas facilities, and other areas classified as hazardous. This box meets stringent safety standards for explosive atmospheres, including Class I, Division 1 & 2, Groups C, D; Class II, Division 1, Groups E, F, G; and Class III, Division 1 & 2. It also complies with NEMA 3, 4, and 7 CD, 9 EFG ratings. The GUAT69SA-G facilitates secure and compliant electrical installations by providing access to wiring, allowing for directional changes in rigid conduit systems, and serving as a junction for wire pulling and splices. All hubs are equipped with a minimum of five full threads and an integral bushing, and the box includes an internal grounding screw. The cover is supplied with an O-ring gasket for enhanced sealing.
