Overview

The nVent HOFFMAN Hazardous Location Thermostat (SKU: HLTHERMNC) provides reliable temperature control in explosion-hazardous environments. Certified to ATEX (LCIE 01 ATEX 6074) and IECEx standards, this compact mechanical thermostat is designed for use in Zone 1/2 areas. It features a thermostatic bimetallic sensor element with a one-pole contact that opens with rising temperature. The HLTHERMNC offers a high switching capacity, rated at 4A resistive and 1A inductive (cos f = 0.6) at 250VAC, and 100VDC. Built for longevity, it exceeds 100,000 switching cycles. The thermostat boasts an IP65 protection rating and a durable black anodized aluminum construction. It mounts easily via a DIN clip and includes a 3.3 ft (1 m) Si HF-JZ connection cable (3 x AWG 18). Ideal for freeze protection, low-temperature alarms, and controlling heaters in critical industries such as oil & gas, chemical processing, and mining where safety and precise temperature management are paramount.
