Overview

The ABB GUAC47-G PVC Double-Coated Conduit Outlet Box is a UL 1203-listed explosionproof and dust-ignitionproof enclosure designed for hazardous locations. Engineered for Class I, Divisions 1 & 2, Groups C & D; Class II, Divisions 1 & 2, Groups E, F & G; and Class III environments, this box meets NEC/CEC and CSA C22.2 No. 30 standards. The ductile iron body features a zinc-plated finish with a nominal 0.040" (40 mil) gray PVC coating bonded to the exterior and a nominal 0.002" (2 mil) blue urethane coating on both interior and exterior surfaces for superior corrosion resistance and UV stability. The die-cast aluminum cover includes an O-ring gasket for raintight and wet location performance, rated NEMA 3, 4, and 4X (with O-ring installed). With a 1-1/4" NPT pipe size and 3.63" (92.20 mm) cover opening, the GUAC47-G accommodates standard conduit fittings and provides easy access for wiring, directional changes, and junction points in rigid conduit systems. Internal grounding screws ensure continuous ground continuity, while pressure-sealing sleeves protect conductors during installation and maintenance. Ideal for industrial applications requiring explosionproof and corrosion-resistant enclosures, the GUAC47-G is suitable for indoor/outdoor use in wet locations, chemical plants, refineries, grain handling facilities, and other hazardous environments.
