The ABB GUAB69SA-G is an L-shaped conduit outlet box designed for hazardous locations, meeting Class I, Div. 1 & 2, Groups C, D; Class II, Div. 1, Groups E, F, G; and Class III, Div. 1 & 2 requirements. It also carries NEMA 3, 4, 7 CD, and 9 EFG ratings, ensuring explosionproof, dust-ignitionproof, raintight, and wet location compliance. This box is constructed from aluminum with a durable, dark gray PVC double-coating for superior corrosion resistance, making it suitable for harsh industrial environments such as chemical plants, refineries, and offshore platforms. The body is die-cast aluminum, and the cover is also die-cast aluminum, providing rugged protection. It features a 2-inch (53 metric) pipe size and a 5.00-inch (127.00 mm) cover opening for easy access to wiring, splices, and conduit junctions. All hubs have a minimum of five full threads and an integral bushing. The box is furnished with an internal grounding screw, and the cover is supplied with an O-ring gasket for enhanced sealing, achieving NEMA 4X rating when installed. UL 1203 listed and CSA certified, this outlet box facilitates mounting of fixture outlets, provides access for wire pulling and splices, allows for directional changes in rigid conduit systems, and connects multiple conduit pieces in long runs, while guarding against wire damage. The aluminum construction offers increased corrosion resistance, and precision cast and machined surfaces ensure safer wire pulling.
