This guide provides step-by-step instructions for installing the GR1W grounding strap, including attaching it to a liquid-tight connector and securing the grounding conductor.

Screwdriver
Supplies needed:
T&B Liquid-Tight Connector, Conduit, Bolt/screw, Nut, Lug, Grounding conductor
- Install Liquid-Tight Connector
Install the T&B Liquid-Tight Connector (not included) onto the conduit.
- Prepare Grounding Strap
Remove the bolt/screw and nut from the grounding strap.
- Position Grounding Strap
Slide the grounding strap over the gland nut of the liquid-tight connector.
- Secure Lug
Replace the bolt/screw and nut, securing the lug (not included) in the desired position. Tighten the screw to 50 lb-in for a screwdriver head or 150 lb-in for a hex head bolt.
- Connect Grounding Conductor
Insert the grounding conductor into the lug and tighten the lug screw securely as per UL486A. If using a crimping type lug, crimp it before installation and then disregard this step.
