Estimated time: 1h
Tools needed:
Screwdriver, Wire strippers, Pliers, Multimeter
Supplies needed:
Mounting screws, Putty, Silicone sealant, Gasket
- Core the Floor
Core a 3-inch diameter hole through the floor to accommodate the poke-through fitting. Ensure that the hole is properly aligned with the desired installation location.
- Insert the Poke-Through Fitting
Insert the poke-through fitting into the hole, ensuring the locating bracket is flush with the concrete floor. Orient the plastic power tube as needed before securing it.
- Connect Power and Data Cables
Feed the power wires into the power side of the poke-through, leaving a maximum of 4 inches above the floor. Hook the tele/data cables around the notch in the device.
- Seal and Secure the Installation
Apply a continuous bead of silicone sealant around the mounting plate underneath the base plate to ensure a complete seal. Attach the base plate to the mounting plate with the provided screws.
- Install the Cover
Install the gasket between the cover and base plate. If using tele/data cables, cut holes in the gasket for the cables. Attach the cover to the base plate using the mounting screws.
- Final Checks
Verify all connections are secure and that the installation meets local electrical codes. Ensure that the silicone sealant has formed a complete seal to prevent water ingress.
