Supplies needed:
Mounting screws, Duct tape, Terminal connectors, Grounding lug
- Prepare the installation area
Ensure the installation area is clear and level. Mark the location for the floor box, ensuring a minimum concrete pour of 3.5 inches for proper installation.
- Mount the floor box
Secure the floor box to the ground using duct tape to hold it in place before pouring concrete. Ensure the box is level and that there is a minimum of 0.5 inches of exposure after the concrete pour.
- Cut the box to height
After the concrete has cured, remove the plastic cap from the box. Determine the desired height for the box and mark a cut-off line. Use a handsaw to cut the box at the marked height.
- Install the yoke
Align the yoke in the floor box slots and move it to the desired level. Insert the provided screws into the angled holes at the ends of the yoke and tighten them into the floor box ends.
- Wire the electrical device
Attach conductors to the electrical device (e.g., GFCI or duplex receptacle) using the grounding lug provided. Install the device in the yoke using the furnished screws.
- Install the cover
Attach the cover to the floor box by inserting the provided screws into the angled holes at the ends of the cover and tightening them into the floor box ends.
