Overview

The ABB E971FB Round Floor Box is a non-metallic electrical enclosure designed for industrial and commercial flooring applications requiring durability, corrosion resistance, and versatile connectivity. Manufactured by ABB Installation Products, it features 90 cubic inches of internal space in a 5.03-inch diameter and 5.40-inch depth, suitable for wiring, conduit connections, and device mounting. Connectivity options include dual hub sizes of 3/4-inch and 1-inch for direct conduit entry, along with included 1/2-inch and 3/4-inch reducer plugs for compatibility with smaller conduit sizes. This flexibility simplifies installations in retrofit projects or multi-conduit applications. The E971FB is suitable for commercial buildings, data centers, healthcare facilities, and industrial plants where floor-level electrical and data connectivity is required. Its flush-mount design integrates with concrete, raised access floors, or other flooring systems, providing protection from physical damage and environmental contaminants while maintaining a clean appearance. The box’s depth accommodates standard electrical devices such as receptacles, switches, or communication modules, ensuring compliance with NEC and other electrical codes. Constructed from non-metallic materials, the E971FB resists corrosion, moisture, and chemical exposure, unlike traditional metallic enclosures that may degrade over time. This design prioritizes long-term performance, reducing maintenance costs and downtime. The enclosure is suitable for power distribution, data cabling, and low-voltage wiring, providing a reliable, code-compliant solution for contractors, facility managers, and electrical professionals.
