This guide provides step-by-step instructions for operating the DAS-250 installation tool to effectively tighten and cut steel ties around bundles.

- Set Tension on the Tool
Turn the adjusting knob on the DAS-250 tool to set the desired tension for the steel tie. To increase tension, rotate the knob from left to right. Refer to Figure 2 in the documentation for visual guidance.
- Prepare the Steel Tie
Loop the steel tie around the bundle you wish to secure, ensuring the tie head is facing outwards. Insert the tip of the steel tie through its head. Pull the steel tie by hand until it is snug around the bundle.
- Secure and Cut the Steel Tie
Wear safety goggles before proceeding. Carefully insert the tail of the steel tie into the DAS-250 tool as shown in Figure 3. Position the nose of the tool flush against the steel tie head. Squeeze the trigger handle firmly; the tool will tighten the steel tie and automatically cut off any excess. CAUTION: Be aware of pinch points and keep fingers away from the front of the tool during operation.
