Overview

The ABB E-Z-Ground C-Taps Copper Compression Connector (SKU: CTP2020) is engineered for high-strength and premium electrical properties in demanding industrial grounding and bonding applications. Manufactured from high conductivity copper alloy, these C-taps ensure positive, all-around compression, delivering low resistance and high pull-out values. They are specifically designed for tapping into unbroken continuous mains, serving as a wire joint or a two-way splice. The "C" shape design facilitates reduced installation time. This connector is suitable for use with solid and stranded copper conductors, offering a wide wire range-taking capability that minimizes inventory requirements. It is UL467 Listed for Grounding & Bonding and UL486A Listed Wire Connector, satisfying NEC 250-81 and 250-91 requirements. The connector is rated for 600V and a temperature of 90°C. When crimped with specified tools and dies, it is UL listed and CSA certified. The conductor range for the run is 1/0 STR - 2/0 STR AWG, and for the tap, it is 1/0 STR - 2/0 STR AWG. The wire strip length is 11/16 inches (27 mm). Each standard package contains 3 units. For precise tool and die information, consult the manufacturer's specifications. This connector is certified for AWG wire only and is not approved for metric wire; use GCE or GCC series for metric connections. Ensure proper voltage stress relief instructions are followed for applications exceeding 2000V.
