  1. Turn off power

    Ensure all electrical power to the installation area is turned off to prevent electrical shock.

  2. Install the wasp guard

    Remove the knockout from the bottom port of the base using pliers. Peel the backing from the adhesive side of the wasp guard and position it on the curved rib of the open port. Fold the wasp guard and secure it to the inside of the curved rib.

  3. Select the appropriate adapter

    Choose the correct adapter based on your receptacle type. For a round receptacle, select either the 1-3/8" or 1-9/16" adapter and remove the inner circle as needed.

  4. Mount the base

    Attach the base to the electrical box using the provided screws. Ensure the gasket overlaps the edges of the box and that the base is positioned with the cover hinge on top and the open port on the bottom.

  5. Install the cover

    Align the cover with the base and engage the latch. Insert the hinge pin through the top hole to secure the cover in place.

  6. Seal irregular surfaces

    If installing on an irregular surface, apply caulk or sealant around the base to prevent water entry.

  7. Turn on power
