- Adjust Blade Depth and Position Cable
WARNING: DO NOT PLACE FINGERS BETWEEN THE CABLE SUPPORT BRACKET AND THE BLADE. Push the cable support bracket up with your thumb and place the cable within the 'V' of the bracket. Adjust the depth of the cutting blade to the cable insulation thickness by turning the knurled screw. Ensure the blade does not nick or cut the cable strands. Position the end of the cable next to the cutting blade.
- Mark Insulation Length and Secure Cable
Determine the length of insulation to be removed and mark the cut point on the cable. Push the cable support bracket up with your thumb and insert the cable between the 'V' of the support bracket and the insulation cutting blade. Locate the cable so the mark is directly above the cutting blade.
- Cut and Remove Cable Insulation
Rotate the stripping tool completely around the cable to cut the insulation, then repeat the rotation in the reverse direction. To remove the insulation, rotate the lever to the other end of its slot and hold it in that position. Pull the stripping tool longitudinally over the entire length of insulation to be removed. If necessary, peel away any remaining insulation by inserting the cable support bracket into the cut line.
