How to Install the B228E-R Lampholder & Round Box Kit
This guide provides step-by-step instructions for installing the B228E-R lampholder and round box kit, ensuring proper wiring and assembly for safe operation.

Tools needed:
Screwdriver, Wire stripper (WT2000)
Supplies needed:
Round outlet box, 1/2" round thread plugs, Lampholders, Reflector cover, Round three hole cover, Round gasket (large), Wire connectors, Circular gaskets (small), Cover screws (1/2" long)
- Prepare the outlet box
Coat the threads of two round plugs with sealant and install them into the unused holes of the outlet box. Ensure they are tightened firmly.
- Mount the outlet box
Feed the supply wire into the box and secure the box to the surface using 1" long screws.
- Connect the ground wire
Strip 1/2" of insulation from the ground wire, attach it under the ground screw in the outlet box, and tighten without overtightening.
- Assemble the lampholders
Strip 1/2" of insulation from the ends of the lampholder wires, coat the threads of the lampholders with sealant, and screw them into the round three hole cover without overtightening.
- Wire the lampholders
Connect all white wires together using a wire connector, then connect all black wires in the same manner. Ensure no bare conductors are visible.
- Attach the cover
Align the screw holes of the cover with those in the gasket and box, then secure the cover using the 1/2" long screws.
- Install the bulbs
Place a small circular gasket over the base of each bulb and screw the bulbs into the lampholder sockets without overtightening.
- Test the installation
Replace the fuse or turn ON the circuit, then switch on the light. If the unit does not illuminate, check the bulbs and repeat the necessary steps.
