Estimated time: 45m
Tools needed:
Screwdriver, Wire strippers, Multimeter
Supplies needed:
Mounting screws, Terminal connectors, Caulk or sealant
- Cut the hole in the raised panel
Cut a hole in the raised floor panel according to the dimensions specified for the AFM-6S2 (7-15/16" x 10").
- Install the AFH Bracket
Place the AFH Bracket in the center of the cutout opening and hold it tightly against the side, folding the legs around the edge to engage the bottom of the floor panel.
- Apply sealant and lower the AFM
Before lowering the AFM-6S2 into the hole, apply caulk or sealant to the underside of the Carpet Flange to block water entry, then lower the module into the cut hole.
- Attach conduit and secure the module
Attach conduit as required to meet wiring needs and per National Electrical Code requirements, then install 1-1/8" long screws to engage the bracket.
- Condition the gaskets
At initial installation, apply a light coating of petroleum jelly to the gaskets on the Cord Door and Carpet Flange to keep them supple and prevent water entry.
- Connect electrical and data cords
Open the cover of the AFM-6S2, attach the required devices, and install all wiring in accordance with the National Electrical Code and local codes.
- Close the cover
Close the lid of the AFM-6S2, ensuring that the Cord Door is open while doing so to route any electrical and data cords properly.
