Overview

The ABB AFM 2 BGE Two Compartment Raised Access Floor Module (SKU: AFM 2 BGE) from ABB Installation Products provides a robust and organized solution for managing utilities within raised access flooring systems. Constructed from durable galvanized steel, this module ensures long-term performance and resistance to corrosion in industrial and commercial environments. Its two-compartment design facilitates efficient separation and management of wiring and cabling, enhancing accessibility and maintenance. With a total internal volume of 75 cubic inches, the AFM 2 BGE offers ample space for essential electrical and data infrastructure. The module requires a floor cut-out of 7-1/8 inches in length by 4-1/8 inches in width, with the cover measuring 6-3/4 inches in length by 3-7/8 inches in width. The overall depth of the module is 4 inches. The beige cover provides a clean aesthetic while maintaining the structural integrity of the floor opening. This module is ideal for applications in data centers, office buildings, and industrial facilities where organized and protected utility access is paramount. The galvanized steel construction aligns with the material specifications found in similar ABB device boxes, such as the 132-W-FB-3/4 (4 Inch Square x 2-1/8 Inch Deep, Galvanized Steel) and the 106-FB-1/2 (4-1/8 Inches Long x 2-3/8 Inches Wide x 2-3/16 Inches Deep, Drawn Galvanized Steel), indicating a commitment to durable materials for electrical infrastructure. The beige cover finish is also consistent with aesthetic considerations seen in products like the 100-GFI Device Box Cover. The AFM 2 BGE is designed for integration into raised floor systems, offering a practical solution for concealing and protecting vital services. Its dimensions are optimized for common raised floor tile sizes, ensuring straightforward installation and compatibility. The UNSPSC code for this product is 39121307, categorizing it under electrical boxes and fittings. ABB Installation Products is known for providing reliable components for electrical distribution and management, and the AFM 2 BGE exemplifies this commitment to functional and durable design.
