- De-energize the Circuit
Before beginning any installation, ensure the electrical circuit is completely de-energized to prevent electrical shock. Verify the absence of voltage using appropriate testing equipment.
- Verify Conductor and Connector Compatibility

Prior to mounting the connector, apply Blackburn® Contax® Type CT or Weaver Type CP oxide inhibiting compound to the flat contact surface of the connector to ensure optimal electrical connection and corrosion prevention.
- Mount Connector and Torque Hardware
Mount the connector using the appropriate mounting hardware. Torque the mounting hardware to the values specified in TABLE 2 of the product documentation. For best installation practice, use flat and Belleville washers in conjunction with the mounting hardware.
