Mounting screws, Gland nut, Seal, Conduit adapter, Spaded conductor
- Prepare for installation
Turn off all power to the circuit to prevent electrical shock. Gather all necessary tools and supplies as listed.
- Disassemble the connector
Remove the gland nut, seal, conduit adapter, liner, and interior from the connector housing. Use a screwdriver to gently separate the interior from the housing if necessary.
- Install the conduit adapter
Insert the conduit adapter into the gland nut and thread it onto the liquid-tight conduit connector. Tighten securely to a minimum torque of 50 IN/LB.
- Wire the connector
Slide the seal and liner over the supply wires. Strip the wires to the appropriate lengths and insert them into the contacts according to the established wiring pattern. Tighten the pressure screws to the specified torque.
- Reassemble the connector
Reassemble the interior into the housing, ensuring proper alignment. Thread the gland nut onto the housing and tighten it to 40-80 IN/LB, ensuring only the gland nut turns.
- Perform electrical tests
Before connecting to power, use an ohmmeter to check continuity and verify correct phasing and grounding. Ensure there are no short circuits or unwanted grounds.
- Power on and test the system
Once all tests are complete and successful, connect the system to power and conduct a final test to ensure proper operation.
