Connector, Voltage through 600VAC/250VDC, Amperage 50A, 2 Pole 3 Wire, Conduit Adapter Size 3/4 InchHow to Install the 9C53U0/C10 DuraGard Connector
This guide provides step-by-step instructions for installing and wiring the 9C53U0/C10 DuraGard Connector for industrial applications.
Estimated time: 1h
Tools needed:
Screwdriver, Torque Wrench, Wire Strippers, Ohmmeter
Supplies needed:
Mounting screws, Terminal connectors, Conduit adapter
- Prepare the installation area
Turn off all power to the installation area to prevent electrical shock. Ensure that the area is clean and free from any obstructions.
- Mount the connector
Secure the DuraGard connector to the mounting surface using the provided mounting screws. Ensure it is level and firmly attached.
- Connect the conduit adapter
Insert the conduit adapter into the gland nut and thread it onto the liquid-tight conduit connector. Torque the connection to a minimum of 50 IN/LB.
- Wire the connector
Strip the supply wires to the appropriate length and insert them into the terminal connectors according to the established wiring pattern. Tighten the pressure screws to the specified torque (20 IN/LB for 30 & 50 AMP, 25 IN/LB for 60 AMP).
- Reassemble the connector
Reassemble the interior components of the connector into the housing, ensuring that all parts are aligned correctly. Tighten the gland nut to 40-80 IN/LB.
- Perform electrical tests
Use an ohmmeter to check for continuity and verify correct phasing and grounding connections. Ensure there are no short circuits or unwanted grounds before powering on the system.
- Power on and test the system
Once all connections are verified, restore power to the system and conduct a final test to ensure proper operation.
