How to Install the 3750DP Connector

This guide provides step-by-step instructions for installing and wiring the 3750DP connector safely and effectively.

Estimated time: 1h

Tools needed:

Torque Wrench, Screwdrivers, Wire Strippers, Ohmmeter, Allen Wrench 3/16"

Supplies needed:

Mounting screws, Gland nut, Glide washer, Bushing, Liner, Collar nut, O-ring gasket

  1. Turn off power

Ensure that the power supply to the installation area is turned OFF to prevent electrical shock.

  2. Prepare the cable

Strip the cable jacket 1-2 inches and the conductors 1/2 inch each to prepare for connection.

  3. Assemble the connector

Disassemble the connector by removing the gland nut, glide washer, bushing, liner, collar nut, and interior from the housing. Then, slide the gland nut, glide washer, bushing, and liner over the supply cable.

  4. Insert conductors

Loosen the pressure screws in the pins and insert the stripped ends of each conductor according to the established wiring pattern. Tighten the pressure screws to 20 in-lbs of torque.

  5. Reassemble the connector

Reassemble the interior into the housing, ensuring it seats properly. Slide the liner down the cable until it is flush with the back end of the housing.

  6. Secure the assembly

Position the bushing into the liner with the conical face down, secure it with the gland nut, and tighten to a maximum of 40 in-lbs.

  7. Perform electrical tests

Use an ohmmeter to perform continuity checks and verify correct phasing and grounding connections before connecting to power.

  8. Connect power and test

Once all checks are complete, connect the power and test the system to ensure proper functionality.
