This guide provides step-by-step instructions for safely installing a Thomas & Betts Jacketed Metal Clad Cable Connector (10467) with a Sabre Tooth grounding sleeve on Teck or jacketed MC type cable.

Jacketed Metal Clad Cable (Teck or MC type), Thomas & Betts Jacketed Metal Clad Cable Connector (10467)
- De-energize Circuits and Prepare Cable
CAUTION: Risk of electrical shock. Before installing or maintaining, verify that all circuits are de-energized. Ring-cut the cable squarely and remove the outer jacket and armor to the desired length, ensuring the outer jacket is flush with the end of the armor. CAUTION: Do not nick or cut the conductor insulation. Slide the gland nut, retainer ring, and neoprene bushing over the prepared cable.
- Install the Sabre Tooth Grounding Sleeve
Insert the point of the Sabre Tooth grounding sleeve fully over the cable armor and beneath the outer jacket. Slide the neoprene bushing to seat firmly in the bevel on the grounding sleeve.
- Assemble the Connector Body
Place the connector body over the grounding sleeve. Push the cable into the connector body as far as the internal armor stop. Thread the gland nut onto the connector body.
- Secure the Connector
Tighten the set-screws to 35 in.-lbs or until the head is flush with the connector body. Tighten the gland nut. Refer to the torque table provided in the documentation for appropriate torque values based on the hub size (e.g., 200 in-lbs for 1/2" hub, 300 in-lbs for 3/4" hub).
