Surge protection devices (SPDs) provide equipment protection from transient overvoltage events lasting micro-seconds. By limiting the overvoltage to the equipment during these events, costly damage and downtime can be mitigated. The surge protection devices for the 1+0 configuration are available for 60 V to 600 V nominal voltage sub-distribution board applications.

LA50 VERY FAST-ACT SEMICOND FUSE QS600-4. In response to new equipment requirements, Littelfuse LA50QS series fuses were developed to improve the overall performance of semiconductor fuses. The Littelfuse Varistor Surge Protection (LVSP) Fuses are intended for the protection of TVSS products. The LVSP Series has been designed to survive the 8x20µs lightning surges described in various Standards(UL1449, IEC61000-4-5 & IEEE C62.41) without opening. This allows the TVSS to perform the necessary suppression. The LVSP Series is not rated for continuous current and the ratings are to specific 8x20µs surge capability. The LVSP Series can be used to facilitate TVSS module compliance to UL1449 in permanently connected applications (abnormal overvoltage, unlimited current conditions)

The L60S and KLC series is a traditional North American style high-speed fuse for protection of power semiconductor devices that are rated up to 600 V ac. These fuse series are typically used for replacement purposes only. For new designs L70QS series is recommended.
