How to Install the UACTB8V Rack Top Baffle Assembly
This guide provides step-by-step instructions for installing the UACTB8V Rack Top Baffle Assembly on IT rack cabinets using magnetic attachment.

Supplies needed:
Magnet Tail Assemblies, Alignment Clips
- Determine the best attachment position
Inspect the top surface of the cabinet for cable cutouts or other obstructions. Identify the optimal position for the Magnet Tail Assemblies to ensure maximum contact with the metal surface.
- Attach the Tail Assemblies to the Extrusion
Using the thumbscrew, attach the Magnet Tail Assemblies to the extrusion base. Ensure they are tightened by hand for a secure fit.
- Position the Rack Top Baffle Assembly
Lift the Rack Top Baffle Assembly and position it on top of the rack, keeping the magnets elevated. Center the assembly left to right and ensure it is as close to the front of the cabinet frame as possible.
- Engage the magnets
Once the Rack Top Baffle Assembly is properly positioned, rotate it down until the magnets click into place, securing the assembly to the rack.
- Continue installation along the aisle
Repeat the positioning and engagement process for each Rack Top Baffle Assembly along the aisle, ensuring even spacing between the panels.
- Use alignment clips if necessary
If any baffle misalignment occurs, slide the provided alignment clips onto the top edge across the gap of two adjacent panels to straighten them.
