How to Install the UACAST05IN Acrycell Sealing Tape
Guide on how to properly prepare the surface and apply Acrycell Sealing Tape to seal gaps between racks for improved data center efficiency.
Estimated time: 15m
Tools needed:
Scissors or cutting blade, Damp cloth, Lint-free towel
Supplies needed:
Acrycell Sealing Tape
- Prepare the surface
Measure the gap to determine the ideal size of Acrycell Sealing Tape needed. Wipe the surface with a damp cloth and dry with a lint-free towel.
- Apply the tape
Peel the backing off the Acrycell Sealing Tape to reveal the adhesive. Press the adhesive side to one side of the gap and unroll the tape, pressing it firmly and straight as you go.
- Cut the tape
At the end of the gap, cut the tape to form a secure seal using scissors or a cutting blade.
- Store excess tape
If storing excess tape, keep it under pressure to prevent premature expansion. Recommended storage is immediate shrink wrapping or securing the loose end with storage tape around the roll.
