Overview

Enhance your data center's thermal management and operational efficiency with the nVent ProLine Containment System Express Sealed Doors. Engineered by nVent, a trusted leader in electrical infrastructure solutions, this robust system is designed to optimize airflow and prevent hot and cold aisle containment breaches. The SKU UAC2DDR42U represents a premium solution for modern IT environments demanding precise climate control. This specific model, featuring express sealed doors, is meticulously crafted from durable black steel, ensuring longevity and a professional aesthetic within your facility. Its dimensions of 78.00 inches in height, 34.25 inches in width, and 4.00 inches in depth are optimized for integration into standard rack configurations, contributing to a seamless and effective containment strategy. The bi-directional door design offers flexibility in access and airflow management, a critical consideration in high-density computing environments. The ProLine Containment System is instrumental in creating distinct hot and cold aisles, a fundamental practice for maximizing the efficiency of your cooling infrastructure. By physically separating the air streams, it prevents the recirculation of hot exhaust air back into the server intakes, thereby reducing the workload on your HVAC systems. This leads to significant energy savings and a lower total cost of ownership for your data center operations. Furthermore, effective containment minimizes the risk of thermal throttling, ensuring your IT equipment operates at optimal performance levels and extends its lifespan. While the current marketing message highlights suitability for 48-inch (1200mm) wide aisles and mentions benefits for wider aisles, the express sealed doors themselves are a key component in achieving this superior sealing. The robust construction and precise engineering of nVent products ensure that these doors effectively block air leakage, maintaining the integrity of your containment strategy. This is particularly important in environments where even minor air bypass can lead to increased cooling costs and reduced equipment reliability. The black steel construction not only provides structural integrity but also contributes to a clean and organized appearance within the data hall. Key benefits and features of the nVent ProLine Containment System Express Sealed Doors include: * **Superior Airflow Management:** Effectively seals aisles to prevent hot and cold air mixing, optimizing cooling efficiency. * **Energy Cost Reduction:** Minimizes HVAC system workload, leading to substantial energy savings. * **Enhanced Equipment Performance:** Prevents thermal throttling, ensuring IT hardware operates at peak efficiency. * **Durable Construction:** Manufactured from high-quality black steel for long-term reliability and resilience. * **Flexible Integration:** Designed for seamless integration into existing or new data center rack layouts. * **Bi-Directional Door Operation:** Offers versatile access and airflow control. When selecting containment solutions, professionals prioritize products that offer robust sealing, ease of installation, and long-term durability. nVent's ProLine series consistently meets these demands, providing data center operators with the confidence that their infrastructure is protected and optimized. The express sealed doors are a testament to nVent's commitment to innovation in data center containment, offering a practical and effective solution for a wide range of facility sizes and configurations. For any organization looking to improve their data center's thermal performance and reduce operational expenses, the nVent ProLine Containment System Express Sealed Doors are an essential consideration.

How to Install the ProLine Aisle Containment Sliding Doors

This guide provides step-by-step instructions for installing the ProLine Aisle Containment Sliding Doors, including mounting, wiring, and initial setup.

Estimated time: 10m

Tools needed:

Screwdriver

Supplies needed:

Vertical Posts, Door Panels, Anti-Shear Plates, Thumb Screws, Header End Caps, Tether Cables, Sliding Door Shims

  1. Prepare Vertical Posts

Determine the placement and orientation of Vertical Post A and B based on aisle width. Slightly angle each post and place the bottom against the cabinet frame, then pivot and align with the front edge. Lock the magnets by turning the knobs clockwise.

  2. Install Header Assembly

Hold the Header Assembly on top of the Vertical Posts with the t-slot facing down. Slide the Header Assembly so the locating pins and latch pin fit into the t-slot, centering it on the posts. Lock it in place by pulling down on the Vertical Post latch.

  3. Attach Door Panels

Align the bottom of each Door Panel inside the guide channel and place the cleat on top of the slider studs on the Header Assembly. Secure the Door Panels using Thumb Screws and adjust with Sliding Door Shims if necessary to ensure proper alignment.
