How to Install the T430826G150 Air Conditioner
This guide provides step-by-step instructions for the installation and initial setup of the T430826G150 air conditioner, ensuring proper functionality and safety.
Estimated time: 45m
Tools needed:
Screwdriver, Wrench, Multimeter
Supplies needed:
Mounting screws, Gaskets, Drain tube
- Inspect the air conditioner
Check the air conditioner for any visible damage and verify its functionality by connecting it to a properly grounded power supply. Ensure it runs without excessive noise or vibration for 5-10 minutes.
- Prepare the mounting area
Using the cutout dimensions provided in the manual, prepare the air 'IN' and air 'OUT' openings and the mounting bolt hole pattern on the enclosure.
- Install gaskets
Using the gasket kit provided, install the gaskets to the air conditioner in the proper locations as indicated in the manual.
- Mount the air conditioner
Secure the air conditioner to the enclosure using the mounting screws provided. Use the 'EZ' mount tabs to hold the unit in place while mounting. Ensure the unit remains upright for at least five minutes before operation.
- Connect the power supply
Refer to the nameplate for electrical requirements and connect the power cord to a properly grounded power supply. Avoid using an extension cord and ensure the circuit is fused with a slow blow or HACR circuit breaker.
- Route the drain tube
Route the drain tube ensuring it does not kink and maintains a continuous downward slope to prevent overflow of the condensate drain pan.
- Adjust the thermostat
Remove the nylon plug from the back face of the unit (if applicable) and use a screwdriver to adjust the thermostat to the desired temperature setting.
- Test the air conditioner
Turn on the power to the unit and verify that both the evaporator and condenser impellers are running, and that the compressor is functioning correctly.
