How to Install the T430826G108 Air Conditioner

Installation guide for mounting and wiring the T430826G108 air conditioner into an enclosure.

Estimated time: 45m

Tools needed:

Screwdriver, Wrench, Ratchet driver

Supplies needed:

Mounting bolts, Gasket kit

  1. Inspect and Test the Air Conditioner

Inspect the air conditioner for any shipping damage. If the unit has been in a horizontal position, let it stand upright for at least 5 minutes before testing. Connect the power cord to a properly grounded power supply and operate for 5-10 minutes to verify functionality. Ensure no excessive noise or vibration is present. Refer to the nameplate for electrical requirements. Minimum circuit ampacity should be at least 125% of the amperage shown in the design data section for the appropriate model.

  2. Prepare the Enclosure

Using the cutout dimensions provided in the manual, prepare the air 'IN' and air 'OUT' openings, and the mounting bolt hole pattern for the enclosure.

  3. Install Gaskets

Using the provided gasket kit, install gaskets to the air conditioner according to the instructions in the 'MOUNTING GASKET KIT' section of the manual.

  4. Mount the Air Conditioner

Mount the air conditioner onto the enclosure using the provided mounting bolts and screws. 'EZ' mount tabs can assist in holding the unit in place. Ensure the unit remains upright during mounting and operation. Start bolts by hand before tightening with a wrench or ratchet driver to avoid cross-threading.

  5. Route the Drain Tube

Route the drain tube ensuring it is on a continuous downward slope to prevent kinking or elevation above the exit point. Failure to do so may result in overflowing of the condensate drain pan.

  6. Connect Power

Refer to the top of the nameplate for electrical requirements. Connect the power cord to a properly grounded power supply. Use of an extension cord is not recommended. The electrical circuit should be fused with a slow blow or HACR circuit breaker.

  7. Adjust Temperature Control

The thermostat is factory preset. To change the temperature setting, remove the nylon plug (if applicable) and use a screwdriver to adjust. Turn clockwise for cooler temperatures and counterclockwise for warmer temperatures. The set point equals the off temperature for cooling and the on temperature for heating.
