How to Install the T430626G100 Air Conditioner
This guide provides step-by-step instructions for installing the T430626G100 air conditioner, including mounting, wiring, and initial setup.
Estimated time: 45m
Tools needed:
Screwdriver, Wrench, Wire strippers, Multimeter
Supplies needed:
Mounting screws, Gaskets, Drain tube
- Inspect the air conditioner
Check for any visible damage and verify functionality by connecting the power cord to a grounded supply. Ensure the unit operates without excessive noise or vibration for 5-10 minutes.
- Prepare the mounting area
Using the provided cutout dimensions, prepare the air 'IN' and 'OUT' openings and the mounting bolt hole pattern on the enclosure.
- Install gaskets
Apply the gaskets from the mounting gasket kit to the air conditioner in the specified locations to ensure a proper seal.
- Mount the air conditioner
Secure the air conditioner to the enclosure using the mounting screws. Use the 'EZ' mount tabs to hold the unit in place while tightening. Ensure the unit remains upright.
- Connect the drain tube
Route the drain tube ensuring it maintains a continuous downward slope without kinks. This prevents overflow of the condensate drain pan.
- Connect the power supply
Refer to the nameplate for electrical requirements and connect the power cord to a properly grounded power supply. Avoid using extension cords.
- Adjust the thermostat
Remove the nylon plug from the thermostat if applicable, and use a screwdriver to set the desired temperature. Turn clockwise for cooler temperatures and counterclockwise for warmer.
- Verify operation
After installation, turn on the air conditioner and check for proper operation. Ensure both the evaporator and condenser fans are running and that the compressor is functioning.
