How to Install the T200226G158 Air Conditioner

Installation guide for mounting and wiring the T200226G158 air conditioner.

Supplies needed:

Gasket kit, 1/4-20x.625 mounting bolts, Power cord or wiring

  1. Verify Functionality

    Inspect the air conditioner and verify correct functionality before mounting. If the air conditioner has been in a horizontal position, ensure it has been upright for at least 5 minutes before operating. Connect to a properly grounded power supply and run for 5-10 minutes, checking for excessive noise or vibration. Ensure the condenser blower, evaporator blower, and compressor are running.

  2. Prepare Enclosure

    Determine if the unit will be surface or recess mounted. Prepare the enclosure opening using the appropriate cutout dimensions from the manual. Ensure adequate ventilation and clearance around the installation location (24" front, 2" sides, 6" top, 9" bottom). Maintain at least 3" clearance between the air conditioner and other internal components.

  3. Install Gaskets and Mount Unit

    Install the provided gasket kit to the air conditioner. Mount the air conditioner onto the enclosure using the 1/4-20x.625 mounting bolts. Use the "EZ" mount tabs to hold the unit in place while mounting. Start bolts by hand before tightening with a wrench or ratchet driver to a torque of 65 in./lbs. Ensure the unit remains upright.

  4. Route Drain Tube

    Route the drain tube ensuring it has a continuous downward slope to prevent kinking or elevation above the exit point. Failure to do so may result in overflowing the condensate drain pan.

  5. Connect Power

    Refer to the top of the nameplate for electrical requirements. Connect the power cord or wire the unit to a properly grounded power supply, following applicable national wiring regulations. If wiring directly, use a slow blow time delay fuse or HACR circuit breaker rated per the MOPD rating.

  6. Adjust Temperature Setting (Optional)

    If necessary, adjust the temperature setting. Remove the nylon plug from the front face of the unit. Use a standard screwdriver to turn the adjustment screw clockwise for cooler settings or counterclockwise for warmer settings. Reinstall the nylon plugs.
