How to Install the T200226G100 Air Conditioner

This guide provides step-by-step instructions for the installation and initial setup of the T200226G100 air conditioner, ensuring proper mounting, wiring, and configuration.

Estimated time: 45m

Tools needed:

Screwdriver, Wire strippers, Multimeter

Supplies needed:

Mounting screws, Gasket kit, Drain tube

  1. Inspect the air conditioner

Check the air conditioner for any visible damage and verify its functionality before mounting. Ensure it has been upright for at least five minutes if previously horizontal.

  2. Prepare the mounting location

Determine if the unit will be surface or recess mounted. Prepare the enclosure opening according to the mounting cutout dimensions, ensuring adequate ventilation and clearance.

  3. Install gaskets

Using the gasket kit provided, install the gaskets to the air conditioner to ensure a proper seal.

  4. Mount the air conditioner

Secure the air conditioner to the enclosure using the provided 1/4-20x.625 mounting bolts. Use the 'EZ' mount tabs to hold the unit in place while mounting. Torque each bolt to 65 in./lbs.

  5. Connect the drain tube

Route the drain tube ensuring it maintains a continuous downward slope without kinks. This prevents overflow of the condensate drain pan.

  6. Wire the unit

Connect the power cord or wire the unit to a properly grounded power supply, following national wiring regulations. Ensure the circuit is fused appropriately.

  7. Test functionality

After wiring, power on the unit and verify that the evaporator blower starts running. Allow the unit to operate for 5-10 minutes, checking for excessive noise or vibration.

  8. Adjust thermostat settings

Remove the nylon plug from the front face of the unit and use a screwdriver to adjust the thermostat to the desired temperature setting.

  9. Calibrate the thermostat

Measure the temperature of the intake air and compare it to the thermostat setting. Adjust as necessary to ensure they are within ±3°F of each other.
