How to Install the T150126G150 Air Conditioner

Installation guide for mounting and wiring the T150126G150 air conditioner.

Estimated time: 45m

Tools needed:

Screwdriver, Wrench, Ratchet driver

Supplies needed:

Gasket kit, Mounting bolts, Mounting screws, Drain tube

  1. Inspect and Test the Air Conditioner

Inspect the air conditioner for any shipping damage. If the unit has been in a horizontal position, ensure it is placed in an upright position for a minimum of five (5) minutes before operating. Test the air conditioner by connecting the power cord to a properly grounded power supply and operating it for five to ten minutes. Ensure there is no excessive noise or vibration, and that the condenser blower, evaporator blower, and compressor are running. Condenser air temperatures should be warmer than normal room temperatures within a few minutes. Refer to the nameplate for proper electrical current requirements. Minimum circuit ampacity should be at least 125% of the amperage shown in the design data section for the appropriate model. No other equipment should be connected to this circuit to prevent overloading.

  2. Prepare the Enclosure

Using the cutout dimensions provided in the manual, prepare the air "IN" and air "OUT" openings, and the mounting bolt hole pattern for the enclosure.

  3. Install Gaskets

Using the provided gasket kit, install gaskets to the air conditioner.

  4. Mount the Air Conditioner

Mount the air conditioner onto the enclosure using the provided mounting bolts and screws. "EZ" mount tabs can be used to hold the unit in place while mounting. Ensure the unit remains upright for a minimum of five (5) minutes before starting. Start bolts by hand before tightening with a wrench or ratchet driver to avoid cross-threading mounting inserts.

  5. Route the Drain Tube

When routing the drain tube, ensure it is on a continuous downward slope and does not kink or elevate above the exit point of the air conditioner. Failure to follow these instructions could result in overflowing of the condensate drain pan.

  6. Connect Power

Refer to the top of the nameplate for electrical requirements. Connect the power cord to a properly grounded power supply. Use of an extension cord is not recommended. The electrical circuit should be fused with a slow blow or HACR circuit breaker.

  7. Adjust Temperature Setting

To change the temperature setting, remove the nylon plug from the front face of the unit. Use a standard screwdriver to adjust the thermostat. Turn clockwise for cooler temperatures and counterclockwise for warmer temperatures. The dial range of the thermostat is 50-95 F.
