This guide provides step-by-step instructions for assembling the SPM-3R floor standing enclosure, including mounting various panels, the lift handle, and sealing the bottom plates. WARNING: When mounting on or over a combustible surface, a floor plate of at least 1.43 mm galvanized or 1.6 mm uncoated steel extended at least 150 mm beyond the equipment on all sides must be installed.
Estimated time: 1h 30m
Tools needed:
T30 Torx Driver, T25 Torx Driver, SW10 Socket Wrench, SW13 Socket Wrench, SW19 Socket Wrench, SW3 Socket Wrench, Screwdriver
Supplies needed:
M5x10 Screws, M6x12 Screws, M12x20 Screws, M8x16 Screws, Metal Guider, BG01 Sealing Kit (if IP55 rating is required), Galvanized or uncoated steel floor plate (if mounting on combustible surface)
- Assemble the Mounting Plate Components
Attach the specified components (parts 1, 2, 3, 4) to the main mounting plate using M5x10 screws. Tighten the screws with an SW3 socket wrench to a torque of 4-5.5 Nm. Refer to Pic. 3a for component placement.
- Install the Lift Handle
Secure the lift handle components (parts 2 and 3) to the door (part 1) as shown in Pic. 5. Use a T30 Torx driver for tightening.
- Assemble Door Accessories
Mount the door accessories (parts B, C, D) using the specified screws. Use M6x12 screws for B and M12x20 screws for C, tightening with a T30 Torx driver and SW19 socket wrench to 15-20 Nm. For part D, use M12 screws and tighten to 8-9 Nm for the first pass, then 4-5 Nm for subsequent tightening. Refer to Pic. 7.
- Secure the Top Panel
Position the top panel (part 1) onto the enclosure frame. Fasten it using M5x10 screws (A) and M6x12 screws (B). Use T25 and T30 Torx drivers to tighten all screws to a torque of 4-5 Nm. Refer to Pic. 8.
- Attach the Back Panel
Place the back panel (part 1) onto the rear of the enclosure frame. Secure it using the appropriate fasteners and a T25 Torx driver. Tighten all screws to a torque of 4.5-5 Nm. Refer to Pic. 9.
- Install the Bottom Plates
Attach the bottom plates (parts 1, 2, 3, 4) to the base of the enclosure. Use St. 5.5x10 screws (A) and M8x16 screws (B). Tighten all fasteners with a T30 Torx driver to a torque of 10-15 Nm. Ensure proper orientation for mounting and unmounting as indicated in Pic. 10.
- Seal Bottom Plates for IP55 Rating
If an IP55 environmental rating is required, install the BG01 sealing kit (ordered separately) to the bottom plates as shown in Pic. 11. Follow the kit's specific instructions for proper sealing.
