- Mount the Control Unit
Securely mount the Control Unit (CU) vertically on or near the Pressurized Enclosure (PE) using the provided mounting screws. Ensure that the unit is easily accessible for monitoring and maintenance.
- Connect the Purge Air Supply
Connect the purge air supply to the CU using a ½” NPT fitting. Ensure that the connection is tight and free of leaks to maintain proper pressure during operation.
- Install the Relief Valve
Install the Relief Valve (RLV) at the bottom or side of the PE to facilitate effective purging. Ensure it is mounted vertically and that the spark arrestor is clean and unobstructed.
- Connect the Pressure Monitor
If the CU is not directly mounted on the PE, connect a 1/8” NPT nylon tube from the CU to the enclosure pressure monitor fitting to ensure accurate pressure readings.
- Set the Purge Time
Adjust the purge timer on the CU according to the volume of the PE. Calculate the necessary purge time based on the purge flow rate and ensure the timer is set correctly before commissioning.
- Perform Initial Testing
After installation, conduct a test by applying air pressure to the CU. Verify that the RLV opens at the specified pressure and that the purge flow is adequate. Check all indicators for proper operation.
- Finalize Configuration
Once testing is complete, secure all covers and ensure that all connections are tight. Document the settings and ensure that the unit is ready for normal operation.
