Overview

The nVent ProLine G2 Industrial Package (SKU: P2KOD12125) is a pre-engineered Type 12 enclosure designed for industrial control and electrical applications. This 1200x1200x500mm enclosure features a 12-gauge steel frame with welded corners and a hybrid profile for structural integrity under load. The light gray finish provides corrosion resistance while maintaining a professional appearance. Key features include a solid front and rear door with a 3-point roller latch system for secure sealing, a low-profile flush swing handle with key lock, and four integrated lifting eyes for safe handling. The enclosure includes a full-height galvanized mounting subpanel with EZ-Load Glide Blocks for five mounting configurations (vertical front, side, rear, or horizontal front/rear). A seamless polyurethane gasket ensures IP55 and NEMA Type 12 protection against dust and dripping water. The 25mm DIN-standard hole pattern in the frame accommodates flexible equipment mounting, while the single-piece rear cover (for ≤1200mm width) allows for fully recessed subpanel installation. Side covers are sold separately for baying applications. Ideal for manufacturing, automation, and power distribution systems requiring a ready-to-install enclosure solution.
  • 12-gauge (2.5 mm) roll-formed steel with welded corners, and hybrid frame profile for superior performance under load
  • Frame features a 25-mm DIN standard, alternating rectangular and round hole pattern
  • Enclosures with a width of 1200mm or less have a single-piece rear cover, and can accommodate a fully-recessed mounting subpanel; enclosures with a width of greater than 1200mm have two rear covers that affix to a removable center upright/vertical combina

How to Install the P2KOD12125 PROLINE G2 Enclosure

Installation guide for mounting and wiring the P2KOD12125 PROLINE G2 enclosure.

Estimated time: 1h

Tools needed:

Measuring tape, Level, Drill, Screwdriver, Wire strippers, Wire crimpers, Pliers, Safety glasses, Gloves

Supplies needed:

Mounting hardware (screws, bolts, anchors), Wire, Wire connectors, Grommets, Strain relief fittings

  1. Plan the Installation Location

Select a suitable location for the enclosure. Ensure there is adequate space for installation and maintenance, and that the environment is appropriate for the enclosure's rating. Refer to the datasheet for environmental specifications.

  2. Prepare the Mounting Surface

Mark the mounting hole locations on the wall or mounting surface using a measuring tape and level. Ensure the marks are accurate and level. Drill pilot holes as required for your chosen mounting hardware. For specific hole patterns, consult the enclosure's datasheet.

  3. Mount the Enclosure

Using the appropriate mounting hardware, securely attach the P2KOD12125 PROLINE G2 enclosure to the prepared mounting surface. Ensure the enclosure is level and firmly fixed. Verify that the mounting hardware is rated for the weight of the enclosure and its contents.
