How to Install the N210216G051 Air Conditioner
This guide provides step-by-step instructions for installing and configuring the N210216G051 Air Conditioner, ensuring proper functionality and safety.
Estimated time: 45m
Tools needed:
Screwdriver, Wire strippers, Multimeter
Supplies needed:
Mounting screws, Gasket kit, Drain tube
- Inspect the air conditioner
Check the air conditioner for any visible damage and verify its functionality before installation. Ensure it has been upright for at least five minutes if it was previously horizontal.
- Prepare the mounting location
Determine if the unit will be surface or recess mounted. Prepare the enclosure opening according to the mounting cutout dimensions provided in the manual, ensuring adequate ventilation and clearance.
- Install gaskets
Using the gasket kit provided, install the gaskets to the air conditioner to ensure a proper seal.
- Mount the air conditioner
Secure the air conditioner to the enclosure using the provided 1/4-20x.625 mounting bolts. Use the 'EZ' mount tabs to hold the unit in place while mounting. Torque each bolt to 65 in./lbs.
- Connect the drain tube
Route the drain tube ensuring it is on a continuous downward slope without kinks. This prevents overflow of the condensate drain pan.
- Connect the power supply
Refer to the nameplate for electrical requirements. Connect the power cord or wire the unit to a properly grounded power supply, following national wiring regulations.
- Test the air conditioner
After connecting the power, operate the air conditioner for 5 to 10 minutes. Ensure that the evaporator blower, condenser blower, and compressor are functioning without excessive noise or vibration.
- Calibrate the thermostat
Adjust the thermostat to the desired temperature setting. For cooling, turn the adjustment screw clockwise for cooler settings and counterclockwise for warmer settings.
