The nVent MKD18124R5 is a robust, floor-standing mild steel enclosure designed for secure housing of electrical and electronic components. Its compact, double-door design (1800mm H x 1200mm W x 400mm D) is ideal for space-constrained industrial environments. Constructed from durable painted steel, the body is 1.35mm thick, rear and roof panels are 1.5mm, and the 2mm painted steel doors feature a 4-point locking system on the main door and a 2-point system on the slave door for enhanced security. The enclosure boasts an IP55 protection rating, safeguarding against dust ingress and low-pressure water jets, and an IK10 rating for impact resistance. Internal flexibility is provided by a 3mm galvanized steel mounting plate, adjustable in depth via integrated profiles and optional accessories. The bottom plates are 1mm galvanized steel. This enclosure is delivered with the body, doors, rear panel, roof panel, bottom plates, mounting plate, and door frame, along with earthing bolts. All panels are earthed through their fittings and include a separate earthing stud. The RAL 7035 structured powder coating ensures a professional finish. Applications include industrial automation, control systems, and power distribution where reliable protection is essential. Recyclable packaging is utilized.
