Overview

The nVent MKD series of compact floor standing enclosures, specifically the SKU MKD14103PER5, offers a robust and space-efficient solution for housing sensitive industrial components. Engineered from durable mild steel, this enclosure is designed to meet the demanding requirements of various industrial environments. Its compact footprint, measuring 1400x1000x300 mm, makes it an ideal choice for installations where space is at a premium, such as control rooms, manufacturing floors, or utility substations. The double-door configuration is a key design advantage, significantly reducing the clearance needed in front of the enclosure when opened. This contrasts with single-door designs where a fully opened door can obstruct walkways or machinery, making the MKD series particularly well-suited for confined spaces. Furthermore, the division of access over two doors distributes the weight load, enhancing the overall durability and ease of handling for maintenance or component access. Protection is paramount in industrial settings, and the MKD enclosure delivers with an IP55 protection degree. This rating signifies that the enclosure is protected against dust ingress and is also safeguarded against water jets from any direction. This comprehensive protection ensures that critical electrical and electronic components housed within remain secure and operational, even in challenging environmental conditions. Typical applications for this type of enclosure include housing control systems, automation equipment, power distribution units, and telecommunications hardware. Industries that benefit from the nVent MKD series include manufacturing, process control, energy, and infrastructure. nVent is a globally recognized leader in electrical enclosure solutions, known for its commitment to quality, innovation, and reliability. Their products are trusted by professionals worldwide for their robust construction and adherence to stringent industry standards. The MKD enclosure is a testament to this legacy, providing a dependable platform for safeguarding valuable equipment. The absence of a mounting plate (no MP) in this specific configuration (MKD14103PER5) allows for flexible internal component mounting tailored to specific application needs, whether it's custom back panels, DIN rails, or specialized mounting hardware. This versatility, combined with its protective features and space-saving design, makes the nVent MKD compact floor stand enclosure a superior choice for critical industrial applications.
